See The Entire Chemical Peel Process On Video
I came across this cool little video that gives you a visual on what the chemical peel process looks like. The person in this video is a gorgeous African American woman who so graciously captured her entire experience on camera. While she is not using the Skin Culture peel in this video, the treatment she is using appears to be very similar. Don’t worry, the video isn’t very long (less than 1 minute) so you don’t need to pop any popcorn.
Be warned, though. If you’re not familiar with chemical peels, the video may look pretty scary in some places, but it has a beautiful ending!
Enjoy!
Linda

hi Linda,
am a black male and obviously i have bad acne scars and my skin is oily. My first question is will the peel help stop the oilyness? and secondly, is it mandatory to stay indoors during the peeling process? because one week is quite a lot.
thanks,
ed
Hi Ed,
As far as I know the peel does nothing to stop oily skin from being oily. But, they do have a kit that’s just for oily skin. They actually have kits for every skin type. So, you should be able to get maximum benefit from the peel.
As far as staying indoors goes, it’s not mandatory but the need to do so really all depends on how your skin reacts to the peel. Everyone’s face responds differently. Some people go on with their normal activities while doing the treatment. Others choose to stay indoors for the whole time.
Quite a few people I’ve met through this blog choose to do the treatment during holidays or vacation time, especially if it’s their first time using the peel. Personally, I recommend first-time users plan to at least be indoors for Days 4 through 6 of the treatment if they can’t take a whole week off. If you start the treatment on a Tuesday, this works out perfectly as you can spend the weekend indoors. However, if you plan to use the peel 4000 kit, it may take a few more days for your face to completely peel. So, keep that in mind, too.
Once you gone through a full treatment, you’ll have a good idea of how much time you’ll need to spend indoors (if any) and you can better plan if you decide to do more treatments in the future.
I hope this helps, Ed. Let me know if you need anything else.
Cheers

Hi Linda
I am a black fair skinned female, I have extremely dark elbows & knees. This makes me very self concious and i have not worn a t-shirt or skirt in years.
Is there a peel/treatment you can recommend that would solve this problem. I have heard mixed review about a topical cream called meladerm.
Please HELP!
Thanks
Hi Tilly,
Thanks for sharing your story here. I’ll try my best to help.
I’ve heard of Meladerm as well. All I can suggest is you give it a try. You may also want to take a look at Revitol Skin Brightener. Of the two, though, I would probably try Meladerm first.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
Linda
