I believe that you are attempting to provide a service to people, but you should know the facts about Skin Culture. They are not providing assistance to their customers, but are in fact saying “the product is out of stock”. I had to write to them twice to get a response and the response was useless. I ordered the product on 4/4/09, the money was billed to my credit card on 4/5/09. No Skin Culture website warns customers that the product is out of stock.

I have purchased their product for many, many years and have received an unsatisfactory response. I know many customers would appreciate hearing all the recommendations for alternative products to Skin Culture. I think the only appeal of their product is the fact that it is a non-liquid form of salicylic acid.

Thank you. I look forward to reading your reviews of other products.

    Hi L Roth,

    Thanks for your kind words.

It sounds like your experience has been with skincultureusa.com, also known as UMM, a distributor of Skin Culture peel in the United States. I’m so sorry to hear of your misfortune with them, but you are not alone. This issue caused such concern for me that I found it refreshing when one of the owners of Skin Culture International contacted me because he was concerned about the level of service customers were receiving from UMM (apparently they had been watching this site for months and were paying attention to customer feedback posted here).

Anyway, Skin Culture International (www.skinculture.com) is the company that owns and manufactures the Skin Culture Peel. As such, their level of service differs significantly from UMM. Due to the recent issues that customers like yourself have experienced they made special arrangements.

If you did indeed place your last order with UMM through skincultureusa.com (and it sounds like you did), then I suggest you read this post –> http://skin-culture-peel-review.com/latest-news/official-statement-from-skin-culture-international/.

    Then, take the following steps:

    1. Request a refund from UMM and or do a charge back with your credit card company
assuming you paid by credit card. The latter should be easy to do, if you have not received the goods.

    2. Send an email to backorders@skinculture.com and include your order confirmation and order number from your original purchase. In return you will be supplied with a promotional code that allows you to receive a 50% discount and free shipping when you re-order the same product online at http://www.skinculture.com.

This is the process that Skin Culture International has initiated for customers in your situation. I agreed to pass this along as I want to be as helpful as possible to those who visit this site.

As for alternatives to the Skin Culture Peel, you can view some of them here:

    http://skin-culture-peel-review.com/category/skin-culture-peel-alternatives/

This section has been up for several months now, but it is a little skimpy. As I find more facial peels that are suitable substitutes for the Skin Culture peel, I will post them in this section.

I hope you find this helpful, L Roth.

    Cheers :-)
    Linda
