Is Skin Culture Peel Safe?

Many people wonder about the safety of Skin Culture Peel because some parts of the process seem to be pretty gruesome, at least in their description. If you’ve used a home chemical peel before or read my post entitled What Should I Expect During the Skin Culture 6-Day Treatment?, then you know what I’m talking about.

I thought it would be good to answer a few questions concerning the safety of Skin Culture Peel, so here goes.

Will Skin Culture Peel Cause My Skin to Burn, Bleed or Blister?

Skin Culture Peel basically works by depriving the epidermis (outermost layers of your skin) of oxygen. This is what causes these layers to die and gradually peel away so blemishes can be eliminated and newer skin exposed. The treatment doesn’t burn your skin or cause it to bleed or blister. It just gently removes layers of dead skin.

You must be careful to not peel the skin yourself, though. This may cause some undesirable results. Instead, follow the instructions and let the skin peel naturally during the treatment. Some users have chosen to peel their skin themselves and lived to regret it.

What About the Stinging?

When using Skin Culture Peel treatments, some people experience a hot stinging sensation for about 15 to 20 minutes after they’ve applied the peeling formula. This varies form person to person. Some people can apply the peeling formula and only feel a warm tingling sensation while others may feel a more intense sensation. Regardless of how mild or intense the sensation is, it only lasts for about 15 to 20 minutes and causes no damage if you follow the instructions.

When you do feel the tingling, though, it’s best to fan your face in order to relieve any discomfort you experience. According to the makers of Skin Culture Peel, the more you feel the treatment working, better your results.

Skin Culture Peel and Age Spots

Published by Linda Florentine under Age Spots Tips

Age spots, also known as liver spots or brown spots, are a common occurrence among those 55 years and older. While these blemishes are neither cancerous nor precancerous, their presence alone can be quite a nuisance. As a result, many people search for a quick and easy treatment for age spots so they can regain their youthful appearance boost their self-confidence. There are roughly 4 different methods that have proven to be effective for removing age spots. We’ll take a brief look at each one so you can determine which one suits you best.

IPL Treatment

IPL, also known as photorejuvenation, stands for Intensed Pulsed Light. This treatment for age spots is a non-ablative which simply means it doesn’t damage the surface of the skin. With IPL, intense light is sent to the deeper layers of your skin (dermis) without touching the superficial layers (epidermis). This innovative method is good for removing age spots because it uses the pulsed light to stimulate new collagen growth while fading discoloration and evening your skin tone.

The only drawback about IPL is that it has to be performed by a trained medical professional. The procedure can be quite expensive, too. You’d have to have 4 to 6 IPL treatments to see real results. At $300 to 600 per session, you could easily end up spending $1200 to $2200 to reach your goals.

Laser Resurfacing

Laser resurfacing is still a fairly new procedure, but it’s relatively safe. Laser resurfacing is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine lines but also works well as a treatment for age spots. Because this procedure requires some sedation it has to be performed in in a doctor’s office. Laser resurfacing is a popular treatment many plastic surgeons offer to help with removing age spots and other deep blemishes.

Like IPL, laser resurfacing can be quite expensive. The national average for this procedure is nearly $3,000 but many doctors offer financing so patients can take advantage of monthly payments.

Bleaching Creams

Bleaching creams are great for bleaching large areas of discoloration. However, as a treatment for age spots, bleaching creams tend to bleach the areas surrounding the spots more than the spots themselves. You can either purchase bleaching creams from your dermatologist or get them over the counter at your local drug store. Some people say bleaching creams are slow at removing age spots while others swear by them. Either way you can see some results.

Home Chemical Peels

A home chemical peel is perhaps the most cost-efficient and effective treatment for age spots available. It works by removing layers of dead skin over a period of several days (usually less than a week) in order to reveal fresh, new skin that is both younger looking and more supple. Lighter peels remove fewer layers of dead skin while deeper peels can remove as many as four layers of dead skin.

Many home chemical peel kits provide dermatologist-quality results at a fraction of the cost. As a result, they tend to be one of the most sought after solutions for removing age spots. The average home chemical peel kit will cost you about $80 for a basic kit and $660 for a more advanced kit. This is significantly less than the $300 to $2000 you would pay to have the same treatment done in a dermatologist’s office. This turns out to be a savings of $220 to $1340.

Here’s a testimonial from an anonymous woman who used Skin Culture Peel treatments to get rid of age spots:

I am a 31 year old African American. When I was 25 I noticed two dark patches under my eyes. I first made an appointment to see my doctor, and he asked me if I was taking any medication or birth control pills. I told him that I had used birth control pills in the past, but was not on them at the time the marks occured. He suggested that I see a dermatologist. Here is my story after using your peeling cream.

I tried your weakest treatment first, not knowing that this would only remove the first layer of skin. I returned the cream to you telling you that this cream is not recommended for black skin. (You have a copy of my letter in your files). After about a week I saw a change in color in the area that I used the cream on (the darks patches under my eyes), it seems to be lighter. It was amazing, I couldn’t beleive my eyes. I have tried peeling creams and a chemical peel by a well known dermatologist, but the areas around my eyes only became darker. I even visited a plastic surgeon, who said that the marks were age spots and deep into my skin and that I would have to live with this for the rest of my life. He even suggested that I see a psychologist since I was so upset about what my skin was going through.

I tried everything, spent tons of money but to no avail until I tried your peeling cream #2 (Peel 2000). I must say this is my second time using the #2 peel and I can see a big change. Last week I ordered another treatment to remove the top layer of dead skin. All I can say to your African American readers is this peeling cream is the best for your skin. Thank God we can enjoy the skin we were born with. I would like to say to Skin Culture Institute, Thank you, Thank you.

Skin Culture Peel and Acne Scars

Published by Linda Florentine under Acne Scars Tips

Acne scars are generally categorized as two types:

1. Scars caused by increased tissue formation and

2. Scars caused by the loss of tissue, and are not all alike.

Acne scars are often left behind after the acne lesion has healed and is more common if the acne has been irritated by touching or squeezing of the infected pustule. Acne scars are much more difficult to treat than wrinkles because they are caused by the body’s inflammatory response to acne lesions.

Treatment of Acne Scars

Treatment options for acne scars depend on the severity of the scarring and the skin type of the person wishing repair. One of the most common ways to treat acne scars is with aloe vera juice. Acne scars can also be minimized by other gentle treatments, refraining from squeezing pimples, or using a medium to deep chemical peel.

Acne Scars are a common problem that dermatologists are consulted on regularly. As a result many of them administer collagen injections to treat acne scars. However, there are a few problems with these injections. Collagen may cause an allergic reaction and the results are only temporary. It can also get deposited as a fibrous mass and resulting in firm, smooth, but irregularly shaped scars.

Skin Culture Peel for Acne Scars

The makers of Skin Culture Peel claim their home chemical peel kits work well as a treatment of acne scars. For deep acne scars, some users have to use more than one treatment in order to see maximum results.

Here are a few testimonials from former acne scar sufferers who have has success with Skin Culture Peel:

As an acne sufferer that had scarring left from years of cystic acne I am amazed at the amount of scarring removed from my face by your 4000 Peel. As the author of a widely popular book on clearing acne naturally I was drawn to your level of service and natural ingredients in the Peels. My family and friends were incredulous that you could get results like this without dermabraision. I am truly grateful I found you. As an additional note I have continued to use the peels twice a year for about 3 years now and even though I turn 40 this week - I still get asked for my ID regularly in places where its required - much to the jealous reaction of my friends - all due to the effective nature of your peels. You are truly a First Class Company.

Regards,
Chris Gibson - Author and Naturalist

I am writing to thank you very much for the clear skin I have all due to your Peel 4000. I previously have tried all sorts of lotions and potions to get rid of my acne scarring. Within one week I have the clear skin I have always wanted. I will recommend it to everyone who is seeking a clear complexion.

How to Get Rid of Large Pores and Blemishes

Published by Linda Florentine under Large Pores Tips

I found this really great article at WikiHow on how to get rid of large pores.

Enjoy,
Linda

How to Get Rid of Large Pores and Blemishes

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Are you searching for a way to reduce your pores? Join the club. Large pores are the source of anguish for many individuals, and often contribute to many individuals’ acne outbreaks. Why? Because acne and pimples occur when the pore walls stick together with trapped sebum and result in bacteria formation. For individuals with big pores, it takes a lot of trapped sebum and bacteria to develop in order for the pore walls to stick. However, when they stick, because the pores are so large, they result in large, tender, pimple and bumps forming underneath the skin’s surface. How can you get rid of your big pores? It will take some times, and it may not eliminate the visibility of your pores entirely, but you can shrink them somewhat. Follow the steps below:

Steps

  1. Steam Your Face. Steaming your face will open your pores and unplug them. Simply fill a basin with extra warm water. Make sure the water is not scalding hot. Hold your face over the basin for 1-3 minutes. Then, grab a washcloth and drench it in lemon and pineapple juice. Place the washcloth firmly on your face for 1 minute. Then rinse your skin with warm water. Lemon and pineapple juice contain natural enzymes that tighten and firm the face and purify and brighten the skin. Lemon particularly has the ability to cleanse and shrink the appearance of pores. You can purchase lemon juice and pineapple juice from your local grocer. Lastly, apply ice cubes to your face. Place the ice cubes gently along your pores for 15-30 seconds. This will have a tightening effect on your skin.
  2. Buy Pore-Refining Products. Beauty 4 Ashes® and Zia® (www.drugstore.com) are two great all-natural skin care products who make acne and pore refining products. Beauty 4 Ashes ® Christian Health & Beauty makes a “ U Big Pore Baby System” (www.discoverb4a.com) that in a double-blind study with 200 participants was chosen by 4 out of 5 over Neutrogena’s Pore-Refining products. The participants preferred the product based on skin compatibility, results, fragrance, and skin appearance after immediate use. I personally looked at the system, and if do not feel like making your own pore-shrinking products, it contains several researched natural remedies that have been proven to reduce large pores, including sage, lemon, capsicum, sugar, and aloe.
  3. Make a Pore-Tightening Mask. Take Rhassoul Clay and mix with lemon juice, aloe vera juice, and green tea. Rhassoul Clay tightens the pores and purifies the skin. Green Tea is a clinically researched, antioxidant packed and skin healing substance. Celestial Seasonings makes fabulous green tea that is full of vitamins and minerals and comes in many varieties. They also have many special blends on their website (www.celestialseasonings.com). Rhassoul Clay can be found at your local spa. You can also buy a spa detox system from Beauty 4 Ashes (www.discoverb4a.com).
  4. Eat More Citrus Fruits. Oranges produce firmer skin and rebuild collagen, which may contribute to increasing the elasticity of your skin and reducing your pore walls. Tangerines also have this effect.
  5. Use Tomatoes. Spreading tomatoes on your face can help get rid of large pores.

Tips

  • You can cleanse and tighten your pores, overall reducing the appearance of their size…and you can do it naturally. Simply try these tips and you will be well on your way.
  • When washing your face, always rinse with cold water. This will help close the pores and stop dirt entering.
  • Consult a reputed Plastic surgeon for bigger pores.

Warnings

  • Do not oversteam your face! It can result in dry skin and even burns. Also, avoid sunctioning your face with pore-cleanser. This only equals more pore irritation and bacteria growth, which means more acne!

Things You’ll Need

  • Rhassoul Clay
  • Lemon Juice
  • Green Tea
  • An All Natural Pore-Refining Product or System
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Aloe Vera Juice

3 Ways to Easily Get Rid of Large Pores

Published by Linda Florentine under Large Pores Tips

Large pores or enlarged pores, as they’re sometimes called, are typically more common in the T-zone (the part of your face which is comprised of the forehead, nose and the area around your mouth, including the chin). Large pores most often occur on those who have oily skin and are often accompanied by their partner in crime - blackheads tend. While some believe this condition lasts for a lifetime, there are actually a few ways you can get rid of large pores or at least shrink them do they are virtually unnoticeable. Hear are a few simple tips to help you shrink large pores starting today.

#1 - Get a Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment

Large pores can be treated with a technique called 1540 Fractional Resurfacing. This cosmetic procedure is not cheap, but if you have the money it’s one of the best ways to get rid of large pores quickly. This technique involves shooting short laser beams at your skin to remove problem skin layer-by-layer. As such, it’s also known as laser vaporization, laser peel, or lasabrasion.

#2 – Keep Your Face Clean

This may seem obvious, but it’s true nonetheless. You’d be surprised by how many people fail to do this properly. The face has to be cleaned at least twice daily for optimal skin health. Keeping your large pores clean will help to prevent dirt and oil from accumulating in the pores. If left inside the pores, this trapped debris can cause acne, blackheads, and other breakouts. Try using a gentle facial scrubber and face packs in your skin care regimen to help get rid of large pores. They’re really effective for toning up the size of your pores.

#3 – Use a Home Chemical Peel Kit

Bothersome acne and pimples arise when the pore walls stick together because of trapped sebum and the formation of nasty bacteria. As a result, large pores have become a source of frustration for many individuals, and in most cases they cause acne outbreaks which may even lead to acne scarring.

The use of a home chemical peel such as Peel 300 or 4000 not only helps to get rid of large pores for good but it can also deal with acnes scars, blackheads, age spots, and other skin problems. These stronger treatments can effectively shrink large pores in as little as 6 days. For more severe cases another treatment may be necessary, but it works much faster than regular cleansing alone and is far less expensive than laser skin resurfacing.

Notice what a few users had to say about the their experience with a Skin Culture Peel treatment when it comes to large pores (emphasis added).

Here’s a testimonial from Haron in Pennsylvania:

I think next time I will try the 4000 peel. It did remove some brown spots and did a wonderful job of closing pores. I was very pleased with that, as I have tried every face treatment around I think.

Here’s another from Kathleen in California:

I would like to thank you for the peel 4000. I am very pleased with the results I have achieved so far. I have done two peels, two months in a row, and have noticed a significant reduction in scarring, smaller pores and better clarity in my skin.I am seeing better results with the Peel 4000 than the peels I have had in a doctor’s office.

What I really like about this product is that it works and I can do it in the privacy of my own home. I like being in control of what is going on my skin and how it is being applied. With peels that I have performed by doctors I was red for months afterwards. With the Peel 4000 I had no redness after my skin was done peeling. I also like the price. To have peels like this done in a doctor’s office would cost at least 3 to 4 times as much. The staff at Skin Culture are wonderful. They are always there to answer as many questions that you may have. The Peel 4000 is very easy and safe to use. I would recommend it to anyone who is not happy with the way their skin looks.

Well, that’s all for today. Feel free to leave comments or share some of your skin care tips. Go ahead and click on the text below to grab your free Skin Care Rejuvenation Guide, too.

Until Next Time,
Linda
